Jennie Goldstone, Ed.D.
Jennie has worked in education for over 20 years. Her career is dedicated to increasing and improving education opportunities and outcomes for those historically underserved by the education system.
Jennie’s work in education stretches far and wide - from running a college access program for Boston high school students, to training teachers in Zambia in learner-centered methods, to helping NYC public school principals design school improvement projects. These (and other) diverse roles each provided a unique perspective on the ways educators and learners experience our systems of schooling, all of which continue to inform and enrich her work. The 8 years spent supporting museum educators, zoo educators, and teaching artists at 11 institutions in San Diego’s Balboa Park, tied it all together. Jennie witnessed the transformative potential of high quality experiential learning for students, especially those who struggle in a traditional classroom. Learning Unbound was born to make these experiences as impactful as possible, for as many learners as possible.
Jennie earned a Masters in Education from Boston University, and an Education Doctorate from the Joint Doctoral Program at UC San Diego and Cal State San Marcos.
When she’s not geeking out about education (or, even when she is), Jennie can be found cooking and baking to loud music, trying to impress her husband with her dance moves and culinary prowess; exploring the world; cheering for the Buffalo Bills (her hometown team) and the Lakers (her adopted team); dabbling in arts and crafts, and being walked by her dog, Bear, who is objectively the best and cutest boy.
